Carbon Chains supplies anchors and chain cable for yachting‘s highest end — new-build and refit, superyacht and cruiser alike — finished to match the vessel above the waterline, not just rated to hold it.

New-Build & Refit

Anchors & chain cable for new-build & refit

A yacht is judged on its finish. Its ground tackle should hold to the same standard — anchors and chain cable that match the vessel above the waterline.

We supply (super)yachts worldwide, for new-build and refit alike, working to your specification and your schedule. Our POOL®N and POOL®YM anchors are specified most often, available hot-dip galvanised or in Duplex stainless steel — the two finishes that cover most yachting projects, from a weekend cruiser to a full-time superyacht.

Specification usually starts with the naval architect’s drawing rather than a catalogue page: anchor pocket dimensions, windlass gypsy profile, and the finish the yard has already committed to for the rest of the deck hardware. We work from that drawing directly, rather than asking you to reverse-engineer a fit from a standard product range.

Re-Galvanising & Refinishing

Re-galvanising & refinishing

Are the anchors and chain cable aboard your yacht still sound but due a fresh layer of galvanising and/or paint? When the steel underneath holds up, refinishing brings your existing ground tackle back to standard rather than replacing it. Send us photographs, or have us inspect the material at your yard, and we return an estimate for the work and what it will cost to get the steel back to spec.

Once the material reaches our yard, we inspect it in full — the condition of every length, the coating, and the wear on each link. Where the chain calls for it, we prepare a calibration report documenting its true condition, and we agree the final result and the complete scope of work with you directly before any work begins. Most re-galvanising jobs return to the yard within a few weeks, not months, since the steel itself rarely needs replacing — only the coating.

Certification is traced to the IACS unified requirements that classification societies apply to yachting ground tackle, matched to whichever society your yacht’s classification calls for.
